Garve Public Hall
Celebrating our cultural heritage
2024 Renovation
Garve Public Hall Trustees were thrilled to open the hall’s doors once again to the community on Saturday, 10 February 2024, following the recent renovations. The day was well attended, and excellent feedback received. Garve Public Hall has sat at the heart of its community for over 100 years, historically supporting residents of Garve and the surrounding area. Following community consultation, renovation of the hall has been a priority since 2016, with the project being clearly identified in the area’s Community Development Plan.
The hall has undergone a major transformation whilst maintaining the traditional character of this historic building - old and new coming together leaving a long, and legacy for this community. The bright and welcoming entrance provides an intimate space for those wanting to chat and houses new toilet facilities with disabled access available. The main hall has been transformed with a beautiful new wooden floor and traditional style windows that are in keeping with the original exposed rafters. The addition of windows in the roof now provides a naturally bright internal aspect. Redevelopment also includes improved storage space and a separate meeting room/office space. A new catering kitchen will enable the hall to be hired for private functions and support income generation moving forward.

The hall is certainly wonderful yet retaining its charm and character. Congratulations to the trustees overseeing and overcoming many obstacles what an achievement.
