Terms & Conditions of Hire 

Cleaning is the responsibility of the hirer:

• Remove all rubbish from the hall.

• Sweep floor.

• Stack chairs and tables.

• Leave toilets clean.

• Leave the grounds in a tidy condition.

• Failure to leave the facilities in a tidy condition will result in a cleaning fee of £50.00 per hour.

When leaving the hall please ensure:

• All lights are off. The urn if used is off and empty.

Use of kitchen:

• No children are allowed in the kitchen.

• All appliances are switched off and where applicable unplugged.

• The floor is to be swept and mopped.

• All surfaces are wiped down.

• Dishes are to be washed and replaced in cupboards.

• No food is to be left in the kitchen, Fridge, or Freezer ( Unless permission has been given)

• Any breakages or damages to the equipment or losses will be charged at current costs to the hirer.  

Use of Fryers.

• Only a qualified person may use the fryer.

• Oil to be supplied by hirer.

• Used oil to be removed and fryer cleaned.

A cleaning fee of £100 can be agreed in advance.

Hirer responsibilities.

The hirer must be over the age of 18 and shall be responsible for the activities that take place during the hire.

These responsibilities include:

• No damage or theft occurs to the building, furnishing, or equipment.

• People conduct themselves in a decent and safe manner.

• There is no unreasonable noise.

• There shall be no underage drinking or fighting on the premises or the grounds.

• There are responsible adults in attendance at all events.

• Under no circumstances are fires to be lit in the vicinity of the hall.

•  Smoking is not allowed in the hall.

• Safety briefing: inform of exits and muster points.

General rules.

• No posters, flyers, etc. are to be put on walls unless agreed in advance.

• Drawing pins or staples are not to be used to fix agreed items to walls or doors.

• No footwear that could damage the floor e.g., studded boots, cycle shoes, stiletto heels, etc. to be worn.

• Furnishings and floor to be protected during any activity that involves paint, glitter, glues, etc.

• There will be an inspection following the hire.

Cancellation of bookings.

• Please advise us of any cancellations as soon as possible.

• Refunds for cancellation will only be granted if at least seven (7) days’ notice is given.

Garve Village Hall Trustees accept no responsibility for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property whilst using these facilities. Vehicles parked at owner’s risk.
